Village of Meysse Peace of mind and contentment

Just off the ViaRhôna, stroll around the pleasant little village of Meysse. Wander through its narrow streets lined with checkered white stone and black basalt dwellings. They will eventually lead you to the old Romanesque church of Saint John the Baptist.

The Romanesque church Saint John the Baptist’s

Visitors here will be witnesses to a long history spanning the 7th to 21st centuries.

An architectural gem dating back to the Early Middle Ages : A rare 7th-century Merovingian baptistery takes pride of place in the church. The paintings, architecture and remains of archeological studies bear witness to the outstanding rich heritage of the building, which hosts numerous cultural events all year round.
